• Review of "Cochrane Premier Properties" at Champaign

  Not many properties to choose from, high turnover rate for employees (never knew who you were going to deal with). I had a problem with my refrigerator when I first moved in, they 'fixed' it, it broke again, they gave me a mini-fridge, took the full size, 'fixed it' again, it went out again, again I was given the mini-fridge (which I had for a total of four months with a small child on the property), then received a new fridge. This fridge problem caused a lot of excess power usage AND a lot of food spoilage. I missed a month rent to keep my power on and food in the tiny fridge for a family of three during the process. Thankfully, I had no problems with that. One of the bedroom windows had a broken seal and was never fixed. The 'heat' in my apartment was a joke. Tiny little wall-heaters similar to space-heaters. The only reason I'm giving a 'good' review is their maintenance WAS prompt with the fridge to first few times and after missing that month of rent, they gave me time to catch back up. However, they let my current payments go towards an outrageous late fee (after the missed month, I was paying back-dated rent and was charged a late fee every day for nearly a year). I feel the communication was bad on both our parts. If you rent from them, I hope your experience is better.

  Mattis North is HORRIBLE. We moved in a year ago, manager was awesome and we loved it, that quickly changed. Newest manager is Lisa Lurr and she is the worst. She is racist, demeaning, and overall unprofessional. She uses bullying tactics to get what she wants. Don't try to even talk to her she becomes defensive and throws a tantrum telling you to not come in her office again. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

• Review of "Sherman Hall" at Champaign

  The worst place you can possibly live in Chambana. The staff is horribly unpleasant, rude and they have absolutely no intention of helping you out. The room is covered in mold, and after many attempts of contacting the Sherman Hall staff, I was able to finally switch out of the mold infested room (which they also blamed me for creating the mold and I arrived to Sherman Hall like 2 days ago). The Sherman Hall staff are willing to do little to none to resolve your issues. The staff will frequently lose the package or not know where it is. The location is prime, yes, but the rooms are tiny and unbelievably old and broken down. This building also had some bat issues (bats were living in the ceiling of the highest floor). The walls are also very thin, so if you have loud neighbors good luck. I would never live in this again. If you're looking for housing, go to other residence halls or get an apartment nearby.

• Review of "Stan Ochs - COUNTRY Financial representative" at Champaign

  My wife and me met with Stan Ochs a few years ago. I just got another letter asking if we need help with financial planning from them. Anyways we went in there he was late. After that we had to listen about all his vacations! We told him we had $5k to invest and would like to set up a $300 monthly automatic deposit into the same account. Sounded like a good start to us? He told me and my wife to come back when we had $25k.. The entire thing made us feel very depressed. We have nothing but bad things to say about him. P.S. I normally try not to leave bad reviews. But sending me this letter really takes the cake.
